Over 150 students ‘schlep to school’ for Tzedek

On Wednesday morning over 150 JCoSS students and staff took part in the biggest ever ‘schlep to school’ to raise funds for Tzedek in order to support educational projects in Ghana.  Students chose to not take their usual school coach and instead walked up to 10 kilometers to JCoSS in New Barnet, from areas including Enfield, Arkley and Finchley, raising more than £5000 for the charity.

Event organiser Benji Rosenberg from the Informal jewish education team said ‘it was a massive logistical task but was worth every moment when 150 students walked up the school drive in the sunshine, singing and chanting and knowing that they had raised over £5000 for Tzedek.  We are really proud of the students for their commitment to fundraising and their amazing school spirit.’
