JCoSS to build its senior team
JCoSS has launched a global hunt for a Deputy Headteacher and a Director of Jewish Education to join Headteacher, Jeremy Stowe-Lindner, whose appointment was announced in February, on the school’s first senior management team.
The posts are seen as crucial in shaping JCoSS’s ethos and ensuring its success and reputation as the UK’s first cross-communal Jewish secondary school.
Commenting on the announcement, Jeremy Stowe-Lindner said:
“These posts together present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It is rare to have the chance to set up a new school from scratch, even rarer for such a project to have so much going for it in terms of the facilities, government support and the goodwill of the entire Jewish community.
“We are determined to identify first-class candidates able to make the most of these outstanding opportunities,” he concluded.
Stowe-Lindner is due to take up his post on 1st June, with the Director of Jewish Education to follow in September 2009 and the Deputy Headteacher in January 2010. The school itself will open in September 2010.
