We understand that choosing a secondary school is one of the most important decisions that you and your child will have to make. We hope this website gives you some initial information about JCoSS, in order to help you take the first steps in ensuring you make the right choice for your family.

JCoSS is regularly oversubscribed and in the event of more applications than places available in any school year, the Governing Body has established an admissions policy. Please click here if you wish to view it.

Year 7 places will be offered on 1st March 2024. If your application for a place was not successful you have a right to appeal.

If you wish to appeal, please download the Application to Appeal Form or you can request it by emailing admissions@jcoss.barnet.sch.uk. Please click here to read our Appeals Policy.

You will be provided with full details once an appeal has been lodged.

In order to apply to JCoSS for your child, please complete the following 3 steps.

Step 1: Please complete the Online Supplementary Information Form (SIF) below.

Step 2: You will also need to complete a Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP) which you can download here. Once completed, you will need to post it to The Admissions Officer, JCoSS, Castlewood Road, New Barnet, EN4 9GE.

Step 3: In order for you to apply to JCoSS, you must complete the E-Admissions online form provided by your Local Authority between 1st September – 31st October 2023. Please visit your Local Authority website Admissions Page for further details. If you do not apply via your local authority, your child will not be considered for a place.

The final date for receipt of applications for admission to Year 7 in 2024-25 is 31st October 2023. Late applications may be considered.
