JCoSS Parents’ Association (JPA)
Introduction

Co-chairs: Michal Elimelech and Kay Molvidsson

Treasurer: Jo Goldfine

The primary aims of the JPA are to support the school and its endeavours by creating and maintaining a vibrant, friendly and supportive school community and by fundraising to benefit our school and students.

The JPA is your organisation and all parents are automatically members. If you would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Contact the committee via email: jcossjpa@gmail.com

All our events are publicised on the year group Facebook pages, Instagram and via School Post.

A brief history

The JPA re-established itself early in 2023, following a lull during Covid, and is led by a group of dedicated parents. In July 2023, we  held our first social activity for some years, a Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo Night, which was a hugely successful. Last year in July 2024 we held a fantastic Comedy Night and Auction to celebrate our bnei mitzvah/13th anniversary that raised substantial funds. We have also firmly re-established sales of pre-loved uniform, which has been much appreciated by parents. In addition, we offer refreshments for sale at parents’ evenings and events.

This year, we strive for greater growth, more activities and to raise more money. Every penny raised will be ploughed back into JCoSS to benefit the students directly.

JCoSS Crowdfunding Campaign March 2025

As a state funded school, JCoSS are facing enormous financial challenges. In order to ensure the school can continue providing the best education and learning environment for our students, we really need your support.  That’s why for the first time ever, on 23 March and 24 March 2025 JCoSS is crowdfunding.

Please sign up to become a JCoSS Crowdfunding Champion!

The role of the Champion is really simple. We will give you a personalised fundraising link which we will ask you to share with your contacts during the 36 hour period.
The campaign runs from 10am on Sunday 23rd March to 10pm on Monday 24th March. The more Champions we have, the more money we will raise for the school and for
our students. It really is that easy.

Getting Involved

We have a devoted band of volunteers who contribute tirelessly to the JPA but we are always looking for additional support. It’s a great way to meet other parents, to contribute to the school community and hopefully have a little fun. If you are interested in volunteering, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Whether you can spare a few hours on occasion or on a regular basis, we would love to hear from you.

Pre-loved uniform

All money raised is ploughed back into JCoSS to benefit the students directly.

Looking for new or additional uniform ?

Please click on this link to view and order the uniform.  We stock most items and sizes, and sell at a fraction of the cost!

Do you have any outgrown or unwanted uniform to donate?

We would be grateful to receive any donations of uniform in good condition to help keep our shop running. Drop bags of JCoSS uniform in wearable condition at reception (please phone beforehand so you can be added to the security calendar) or give to your child to deliver.

Thank you for supporting JCoSS and the environment by ordering and donating preloved uniform. All proceeds will go directly to supporting the school.

We welcome new volunteers to help with sorting and packing up orders or working in the uniform stand at parents’ events. If you are interested, please get in touch: jcossjpa@gmail.com
