School Experience Days
We invite prospective trainees to come and spend a day with us at JCoSS which gives you the opportunity to get a feel for the school in action; to hear how about training opportunities; to observe lessons and to talk to experienced staff in your subject area.
School Experience Days are being held this year on the following dates:
- Monday 16 December 2019
- Tuesday 4 February 2020
- Thursday 12 March 2020

Other dates may be arranged in discussion with Kate Lightman, subject to availability of staff: klightman@jcoss.barnet.sch.uk
Applications will need to be supported by some evidence of working in school or with young people. If you haven’t previously worked in a school, experience of helping with a sports team, drama group or youth club may be used. However we would expect that you have done some observations in a classroom, so school experience is an essential part of your application.
