On Tuesday 3rd November the GCSE Music classes went on a trip to the Royal Festival Hall to hear the London Philharmonic Orchestra perform in a “Bright Sparks” Concert. These annual concerts are aimed at Key Stages 3–5, offering the opportunity for students to experience an orchestral concert – live! The concerts are an excellent revision source as they cover some of the exam set-works and a presenter provides a detailed lecture-analysis to accompany the performances. Our students were a credit to the school. The concert was excellent and all of us had a most enjoyable day.
