JCoSS GCSE and Vocational Results

JCoSS is celebrating another year of excellent GCSE and Vocational results, with our students achieving remarkable success across their subjects. The headline data is particularly impressive, slightly surpassing last year’s outstanding performance. This year, 83% of our students’ results were at Grade 5 and above, which is considered a ‘strong pass’, and an impressive 93% of results were at Grades 9-4. Furthermore, 50% of all grades were at Grade 7 or better, with a remarkable 31% of grades being at Grade 8 or 9 – the very highest achievable grades.

A quarter of all students achieved at least 7 GCSEs at Grade 7 or better. Among many outstanding individual performances are:

Dr Melanie Lee, Headteacher of JCoSS, praised the students, saying, “We are incredibly proud of our students and the exceptional results they have achieved this year. These grades are a testament to the hard work, determination and resilience that our students have shown throughout their studies. Each of them has demonstrated a commitment to learning and the strength of character to overcome challenges and strive for their very best.” Dr Lee also expressed her gratitude to the dedicated staff at JCoSS, adding, “Huge heartfelt thanks go to our teachers, who have gone above and beyond to support their students both in and out of lessons. Their unwavering commitment and passion have played a pivotal role in the successes we are celebrating today.” She further acknowledged the important role of parents, stating, “We also appreciate the invaluable support of our JCoSS parents, who have been partners in their children’s education. Their encouragement and involvement have been instrumental in helping our young people achieve these outstanding results.”

As JCoSS looks to the future, Dr Lee shared her excitement about the next steps for many of these students. “We are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming many of these curious, talented students into our Sixth Form to continue their learning journey with us. The future is bright, and we are excited to see how they will continue to flourish.”
