JCoSS Celebrates Another Year of Excellent Year 11 Results

JCoSS is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its Year 11 students following the publication of GCSE and Vocational qualification results.

JCoSS students have much to celebrate today, having achieved another superb set of GCSE and Vocational results. Their achievements demonstrate not only academic excellence but also the determination and perseverance that our students have shown throughout their studies. This year, 48%, nearly half of all grades, were awarded a Grade 7 or higher, including a remarkable 29% at the top Grades 8 or 9. 91% of results were Grade 4 or above, and an impressive 82% of results were awarded a Grade 5 or higher.

Once again, JCoSS students have achieved results significantly above National, London and Barnet averages. These achievements reflect the hard work and determination of our young people, supported every step of the way by dedicated teachers and the encouragement of their families.

Among many outstanding individual performances are:

  • Dani Bozo (7 Grade 9, 1 Grade 8, 1 Grade 7)
  • Maya Cabili (6 Grade 9, 2 Grade 7, 1 Grade 6)
  • Lily Crewe (9 Grade 9)
  • Izzy Eisenberg (6 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8, 1 Grade 7)
  • Nathaniel Frencel (6 Grade 9, 3 Grade 8)
  • Ezekiel Gordon (6 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8, 1 Grade 7)
  • Isaac Hines (6 Grade 9, 3 Grade 8)
  • Jessica Meltzer (6 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8, 1 Grade 7)
  • Sophia Moccata (6 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8, 1 Grade 7)
  • Liv Rosenberg (7 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8)
  • Tomer Velasquez-Ramirez (7 Grade 9, 2 Grade 8)

Alongside these outstanding individual performances, we are particularly proud of a number of students who have made exceptional progress and have significantly exceeded their individual GCSE targets. These students are: Raffi Alexander, Mia Bladon, Maya Cabili, Daniel Coburn, Ruby E Cohen, Alicia Emanuel, Noah Greenstein, Eden Kessel, Tristan Lewis, Greg Mann, Jessica Meltzer, Eitan Overlander-Kaye and Hubert Zalucki.

Headteacher Dr Melanie Lee commented:

“Today is first and foremost a celebration of our students and everything they have achieved. All of us at JCoSS are immensely proud of these young people and of the commitment, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their GCSE journey.

I am also enormously grateful to our exceptional teachers whose passion, expertise and unwavering support have helped our students achieve so much. These results are a testament not only to the hard work of our young people, but also to the dedication of the staff who have encouraged, challenged and guided them throughout their time at JCoSS.

We are particularly delighted to celebrate those students who have achieved the very highest grades, alongside those whose progress has been exceptional and whose outcomes far exceeded their individual targets. At JCoSS, we believe that success comes in many forms and that every student who has worked hard, overcome challenges and exceeded expectations deserves to feel immensely proud today.

Our thanks also go to parents and families for the support, encouragement and belief they have shown throughout this journey. The partnership between students, staff and families is at the heart of everything we do and has played a vital role in today’s success.

We are thrilled to welcome many of our students back into the JCoSS Sixth Form in September and look forward to continuing to support them as they pursue their ambitions, grow in confidence and make their own unique contribution to our community. Today’s results are a powerful reflection of the strength of the JCoSS community and of what can be achieved when students, staff and families work together in partnership. Together, we have much to celebrate and be proud of. Mazel Tov to the Class of 2026
