JCoSS is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its Year 13 students following the publication of A Level and Cambridge Technical Vocational Qualification results.

This year’s cohort, the largest in the school’s history, has secured an impressive set of outcomes across a wide range of academic and vocational subjects. Students will now progress to universities, apprenticeships and other exciting next steps, reflecting the diversity of talents, ambitions and interests that characterise the JCoSS community.

A Level students achieved impressive results, with 73% of grades awarded at A*-B, including 46% at the very highest grades of A*/A. Students studying Cambridge Technical Vocational qualifications also performed exceptionally well, with 92% of grades awarded Distinction* or Distinction. Across all academic and vocational qualifications taken at JCoSS, 56% of grades were awarded at the highest levels of A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction, reflecting the breadth of achievement across this outstanding cohort.

Headteacher Dr Melanie Lee said:

“We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students and all that they have accomplished. This cohort has approached their studies with determination, maturity and a genuine commitment to making the most of every opportunity available to them.

Their achievements reflect years of hard work and perseverance, and it has been a privilege to see them grow not only as learners but also as young people who have contributed so much to the life of our school. We are delighted that so many students will now go on to study a wide range of subjects at university, including at Russell Group institutions, while others embark on apprenticeships and alternative pathways that will enable them to pursue their ambitions.

These results are also a reflection of the outstanding dedication of our staff, whose expertise, encouragement and care have supported students throughout their time at JCoSS. We are equally grateful to our families, whose partnership with the school plays such an important role in every young person’s success.
