Today we marked Yom Hashoah as a school community with a beautifully moving whole school assembly. Students read powerful testimonies, poetry, and there were some emotive musical performances. We were also delighted to be joined by students and staff from Hendon School, who, after the assembly, took part in a collaborative art programme focused on Holocaust education. In addition, some students signed up to take part in the Israeli inspired Zikharon Besalon programme, where small groups of students heard second generation Holocaust survivor testimonies. It was a truly moving day of commemoration, thank you to all of our speakers and Hendon School for joining us.
