A group of our Year 12 students are taking part in a very special project with the Jewish Museum. As part of this collaboration, students have been exploring the Museum’s collection and working together to create meaningful responses to a range of themes and artefacts.
Their research spans everything from tracing Jewish family history in Belfast and investigating Jewish boxers, to exploring hats made by Jewish milliners and items brought to Northern Ireland by children of the Kindertransport .
Each student has been paired with a mentor to help guide their research and ensure their final pieces are accurate, thoughtful, and ready to be displayed permanently on the Jewish Museum’s website.
The project is being led by Mrs Raven, who along with the rest of the art, music and media department, are supporting the students throughout their research and creative journey. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity, and we look forward to sharing their progress and final creations.
