We were honoured to welcome the Right Honourable Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities to JCoSS today. The Secretary of State requested to visit our school today and support our October 7 Commemorations – we of course were honoured and privileged to host this special event. During her visit the Secretary of State spoke to Year 8 and Year 9 students during an extremely powerful and emotional assembly, and she later met a group of Sixth Form students who asked her some extremely interesting and intelligent questions. She also took the time to paint a yellow stone for the JCoSS commemoration project which the whole school has been participating in. We are extremely grateful that the Secretary of State took the time to visit JCoSS today, and we are so proud of our students for being wonderful ambassadors for our community.
