Following a rigorous two-day assessment, involving interviews with a cross section of staff of all levels and experience and a scrutiny of our documentation, JCoSS has been awarded Investors in People status, a nationally recognised symbol indicating good practice in the development of staff to maximise the effectiveness of every individual working within the institution.
The external assessor measures performance against a series of standards and provides a formal report containing some good recommendations to further develop good practice. In his feedback, the assessor highlighted the “vision, ethos and strategies [that] create a school that is the first of its kind in the country”. He complimented our “strong vision” and “culture of continuous improvement”.
The assessor was also impressed with the way that staff talked about the values of the school, including the centrality of menschlichkeit. He remarked that after two days at JCoSS he felt part of the JCoSS “family” and he echoed one colleague who said “I feel very special to be part of the school.”
Jeremy Stowe-Lindner, Headteacher, commented “We are delighted to have been given this prestigious status and a wonderful report of the school. Our staff and teachers are the backbone of JCoSS and a large reason for our huge success to date. By investing in them ensures that we invest in our future”.
