Today we have marked Yom Hashoah as a school community with an emotional and moving whole school assembly. Year 12 and 13 students, who had recently returned from their trips to Poland, read their own words from their recent experience. Candles were lit to remember those who perished. KS3 and Year 10 students could then opt into the Israeli style programme of ‘Zikharon Besalon’ where small groups gathered in informal spaces to hear personal family stories of the Holocaust. We were honoured to be joined by our guests and members of staff who shared their stories. May we remember together.
