We know that parents (especially Jewish parents…) like to know what their children get up to at school. And this doesn’t stop with just parents – we know that many Grandparents (ESPECIALLY Jewish Grandparents…!) also want to feel closer to their grandchildren’s school life. This is why we decided to hold a dedicated Grandparents Open Day, which we believe to be the first of its kind.
Grandparents were invited to JCoSS for tea and biscuits, a talk from Mr Stowe-Lindner and a mini-concert, followed by a tour of the school led by their own grandchild. The feedback from visitors was very positive. Mr Ansell, who has twin grandchildren at the school, commented, “There is nothing I can fault with the school. I am so impressed by everything we have seen here today. No wonder my grandchildren are so settled and happy in such a short space of time.” Another grandparent, Mrs Braham, said, “I have had an enjoyable and inspiring afternoon. I feel very grateful that my grandson is having a superb education in wonderful surroundings”.
Staff, students and grandparents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and we are delighted that it was a resounding success.
