JCoSS launches major recruitment drive

JCoSS has launched the search for its first group of outstanding teachers by placing newspaper and online adverts for ten new posts, to start work between April and September this year.

The posts include three Assistant Headteachers for English, Maths and Science, as well as Heads of Department across a range of other subjects. With these and the other appointments planned for later this year, JCoSS’s students will benefit in the school’s first year from an outstanding student-staff ratio of 5 to 1.

Explaining the recruitment strategy, Headteacher, Jeremy Stowe-Lindner, says:

“Our strategy is to bring in the most experienced teachers first: Assistant Headteachers, Heads of Year, Heads of Department and so on. While such staff will have responsibility for developing our innovative curriculum, they will also be form tutors, providing extra-curricular enrichment activities and ensuring that our first students are taught and nurtured by only the most senior and experienced educators.”

The successful applicants will join Mr Stowe-Lindner, Elaine Robinson, Director of Jewish Education and Patrick Moriarty, Deputy Headteacher, who were all appointed last year.
