Preloved JCoSS Uniform

Our JPA (JCoSS Parents Association) Preloved Uniform initiative does 4 valuable things:

  1. Helps parents save money on the significant cost of school uniform.
  2. Helps the environment by reducing textile waste and giving items a second life
  3. Helps JCoSS. Run entirely by parent volunteers, with the help of JCoSS staff, every penny raised goes towards funding resources and equipment that enhance student life, such as books, treats, and other essential items. This year alone, we’ve raised over £6,000 through preloved uniform sales
  4. Helps parents get involved and “give back” to the school by donating uniform and volunteering their time to assist with preloved uniform sales.

How to Order

Step 1: Complete the Order Form

Fill in the online form with your purchase request and personal details.  Please click here to download the form.

We strongly recommend that you measure your child before ordering and use the size charts provided, to avoid delays and restocking charges from ordering the wrong sizes. Please contact us if you need advice about this.

Step 2: Payment Process

You’ll receive an order confirmation email with BACS payment details or an online payment link from jcosspreloved@gmail.com

Note:

  • As the service is run by parent volunteers, order fulfillment may take a few weeks. Details of upcoming order deadlines can be found on the order form.
  • We do not operate during school holidays.
  • For urgent requests, please email jcosspreloved@gmail.com.
Order Collection

Child Collection: Orders can be collected by your child directly from the school office.

Parent Collection: Parents with larger orders or whose child has not yet started at JCoSS can collect in person by prior arrangement. Please request this in the “Additional information” section of the form.

Stock and Availability
  • Stock: Stock is limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Stock indicators on the form may not always be up-to-date.
  • Condition: Items are generally in good used condition, though quality may vary. We aim to provide the best quality we have available in stock.
  • Repairs: Some signs of wear (such as loose threads, open seams and missing buttons) can easily be mended at home – we are happy to advise on how to do this – please email jcosspreloved@gmail.com with a photograph of the area to be mended.
  • Special Requests: If an item is not listed or is out of stock, requests can be made in the “Additional information” section of the form.
Donating Uniform

We are very grateful for uniform donations to help keep our service running.

  • What to Donate: We kindly ask that all donated items are clean, freshly laundered and in good saleable condition (not torn or stained). Only valid JCoSS uniform items can be donated, including trousers and shirts. No footwear.
  • How to Donate:
    • School Reception: Send bags of donations with your child to drop off at reception, or phone ahead and arrange to bring bags in yourself (phoning ahead is essential so you can be added to the security calendar). Please remove the child’s name from any items you are donating.
    • Local Drop-offs: On occasion we will be able to offer the option for local donation drop-offs with parent volunteers in selected areas. Please follow our social media posts and emails or get in touch by emailing jcosspreloved@gmail.com.
  • Specific Needs: We particularly need blazers and PE items, especially tracksuit bottoms.
Support and Volunteering
  • Financial Assistance: If cost is a barrier, financial assistance is available. Please email jcosspreloved@gmail.com for more information.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: The Preloved Uniform Team welcomes volunteers to help pack orders, run occasional uniform sales, or assist remotely with administration or social media.
Terms and Conditions
  • All items are preloved (second-hand) and sold as seen, unless otherwise stated.
  • We do our best to check all items, but condition will vary, and small signs of wear are to be expected.
  • No refunds or exchanges are available for items bought or collected at in-person sales or parent collection points.
  • For online orders, refunds/exchanges may be offered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Preloved Uniform Team. In such cases, a small admin fee may be charged to cover time spent processing and restocking.
  • We strongly recommend that you measure your child before ordering to avoid delays and restocking charges from ordering the wrong sizes. Please contact us if you need advice about this.
  • The Preloved Uniform shop is run entirely by volunteer parents and all proceeds go towards supporting JCoSS.
