The JCoSS Book Award 2012

Here at book club, we have something very exciting to share with you. We are launching the first annual JCoSS Book Award.

Last time you heard from us, we were telling you about the Red House Book Award – so this inspired us to create our very own JCoSS Book Award!

What we are asking JCoSS students to do is to nominate their favourite book of all time and we will create a long list of Year Seven and Eight’s favourite reads. Parents and teachers can also nominate books suitable for 11-13 year olds. The deadline for this is the 10th February, so get your entries in quickly – they need to be in for the last day of this half term.

Fill in a nomination slip, designed by one of our members, and put into either the Year 8 or Year 7 box, depending on which year you’re in. The beautiful voting box was also designed by one of our own members. Furthermore, you will see posters around the school, and guess what? They were also designed by our creative members!

So, what are you waiting for? Get those nominations in as soon as you can! Book Club members will then judge the nominations and we will be announce our JCoSS shortlist on World Book Day (1st March), and in July we will announce the winning book from Year 8, Year 7 and the overall winner!

So get nominating NOW!!
