JCoSS STUDENT MAKES HISTORY AND TAKES FIRST PLACE

Only weeks after JCoSS has opened, the school has entered its’ first Borough sports competition and taken first place.  Sam Morris made JCoSS history this week by winning the Barnet Schools cross country championships amongst 45, Year 7 runners.  He will now race for a place in the National Schools cross country Championships next year.

A very excited Sam said ‘I have made history by being the first person to represent JCOSS in a sporting event – and to make things even better, I have won’

Dan Mitman, Head of Physical Education commented ‘Sam has been training hard for this race and we are delighted with the result, especially as he clearly won by around 200 metres.  This is just the first of many wins for JCoSS. Our football team have begun playing other Barnet schools and we are confident of a very strong first year.’
