Patrick Moriarty

Patrick joined JCoSS from Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls in Elstree, where he had been the Head of the Sixth Form since 2003. Patrick was Deputy Headteacher when JCoSS first opened and became Acting Headteacher in July 2012, successfully gaining the post of Headteacher in January 2013. He has previously taught at two other voluntary aided schools, including Latymer in Edmonton one of the most highly regarded state schools in the country; a graduate of St John’s College Oxford, King’s College London and Haberdashers’ Boys, has taught Religious Education, Philosophy and English.

Elaine Robinson

Elaine is a founding member of the school staff team, joining in September 2009.  She joined JCoSS from the UJIA where she worked as Head of Jewish Social Responsibility; formerly Deputy Director of Jewish Life at Immanuel College.  She taught at the London School of Jewish Studies (formerly Jews’ College), Limmud and New North London Synagogue; Elaine grew up at Childwall Orthodox synagogue in Liverpool, and was an active member of B’nei Akiva before studying at Brovenders, as well as Machon Pardes.

Liz Weddle

Liz joins JCoSS in her 21st year of teaching, having previously worked at Queens’ school in Hertfordshire, East Barnet School as Head of English and Bushey Meads School as Assistant Headteacher, Key Stage 5 and then Acting Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning. Liz has taught English, Media Studies, the Extended Project and Critical Thinking as well as PSHE and Literacy and entered the teaching profession having undertaken an extended period of travel following the completion of her degree in English Literature at the University of Sheffield.

Richard Walker

Joined JCoSS after 26 years in the teaching profession.  After working in mainstream and special schools in Montreal, Canada he came to England on a sabbatical.  He worked on a team that pioneered a specialist school for children on the autistic spectrum and continued to work there for 9 years.  Subsequently, Richard headed up the teaching division of a national unit for deaf children with mental health problems for 4 years.  Richard is currently completing a Masters practiced-based research project related to Inclusion.

A renowned property developer and philanthropist, who took responsibility for the design and build phase of the JCoSS project.

The JCoSS Trust

The JCoSS Trust, responsible for overseeing the development of the building, under the chairpersonship of Harvey Soning.

The Governors

Led by Jeremy Kosky who is Chair of Governors.  There are a number of Governors, drawn from all sections of the community and bringing enormous expertise in a range of areas including education, law, marketing, finance and research.
